Sold a Single Family home in 2020 in Chestertown

I worked with Mary this fall and winter selling my house. She gave great advice for staging it and explained how it was going to work with Covid precautions. The house had a contract on Dec 20th just a week after going on the market, it involved lots of communication during the holidays. Mary was always available and worked hard to get me a fair price. She explained what was reasonable and where I could or should hold my line. The settlement had a handful of problems because of an inexperienced lawyer and she worked with me to make it happen on time. I highly recommend Mary for selling or buying a home in the Kent County area.

We found Mary via the internet and could not be more pleased! She is everything you want in a real estate agent! She was smart, knowledgeable, savvy and kind. She was also patient, discreet, helpful and unfailingly positive. She always responded quickly to our questions, and we genuinely enjoyed the time we spent with her. We found her extremely trustworthy, and her recommendations on the title company and home inspector were top rate. Our sale was delightfully quick because of some local circumstances I won't belabor you with; Mary had a matter of hours to turn one offer down and arrange for another offer to go under contract; she was calm, proficient and very effective in getting everything straightened out to everyone's satisfaction.

Mary is much more than a Real Estate Professional. She is patient ....... which she had to be guiding my wife and I through the purchase process and even the rental process. Mary has excellent listening skills. My wife and I have moved 7 times during our career and have never experienced a Real Estate Professional as great as Mary. If we live long enough, we will be calling on Mary to assist us with our next move.

I highly recommend Mary Fielding. I had a rather complicated sale that required significant repairs/upgrades, creating a subdivision and running the transaction through multiple trusts. Mary's expertise and guidance proved invaluable throughout the whole process. Her local knowledge was extremely helpful as was her professionalism and attention to all details. She also "talked me off the ledge" a few times when my frustrations got the best of me. I have bought and sold houses, commercial properties and land a few times in the past and Mary is by far the best realtor I have ever worked with.

I had to sell my late mother's house in MD and live 86 miles away. This made the sales process a lot more stressful but thankfully, Mary made it a little less. I knew the house would need work and after home inspection, we knew what had to be done. The house needed roof, electrical, septic, well, mold and various other things fixed all during the summer when contractors are busy. I didn't know where to turn so Mary jumped in. All her contractor recommendations were spot on good people. She went as far as to schedule some of them herself. We had to scramble getting things done to meet a settlement date. Mary volunteered to meet contractors if I couldn't. Offered to assist in the well chlorination process. She was so helpful doing uncommon realtor things. Communication was constant via phone, email or text. I never felt in the dark about anything. The sales process was always a collaboration between us and that made me feel good. I had to work with a few attorneys and CPA due to estate related issues and they all know Mary so if you're in the same situation as a seller, this should help. In summary, Mary is the consummate real estate professional, knows Chestertown (and everyone knows her), very detailed and is just a nice, friendly person and that's important.
